Orders were shouted
What else can vulnerable bullies do?
They can stop you on the road
They can take you from your car
They can come into your house
They can take away your kids
Lines were made of people
And people were shot
People crossed lines
And lines were crossed
People hid in attics
And people were found
Shooting was cheap
To get killed was easy
Before it began you were grinning proud of your young family optimistic
Your family scattered to safety later you smiled a wan smile
Where civil society like sparks of fireflies struggled to find itself in the rubble
